CD Release Party Announced
October 10, 2011
The Easy Ramblers will celebrate the release of their new CD
titled Easy Does It with a release party at Jazz Central on Thursday, November 3rd beginning at
7:30PM. Tickets for the event are $5 in advance, and $7 at the door. The group is an eclectic mix of
Syracuse area musicians - Maureen Henesey (Mere Mortals) teams up with Eddie Zacholl (The Z-Bones)
and Dann Mather (Entourage) to present a unique blend of original compositions that blend bluegrass and
folk music.
The Easy Ramblers officially formed in 2010 when Maureen, Dann
and Eddie got together to record an original song for My Heart’s Right There – Songs for Tipperary Hill.
From there, the trio met as schedules permitted to craft Easy Does It, their debut recording. Performing live, The
Easy Ramblers mix their originals with hand-picked covers from the likes of Gillian Welch, Allison Kraus,
Peter Rowan and other innovators in song.
With one listen you will come to realize there is a special chemistry
with the blending of these three creative individuals. You hear craftsmanship, clever compositions,
simplicity. Music that is old and new fun at the same time, layered with Maureen’s soaring vocal
capabilities. Not pure folk or traditional bluegrass – EASY GRASS?
The evening will prove to be a special event, especially with the
addition of several talented guest players (who helped The Easy Ramblers with the recording) including
Tim Herron, Mark Allnatt, Scott Ebner, Joe Davoli, and Mike Mawhinney.
